One word, two different promises
Both kinds of cover sit inside a term measured in years, which is why they can sound the same on an invoice. The difference is what happens to the cover as those years pass.
Prorated means the cover reduces across the term: it is at its highest in the first year and lower in each year after that. Non-prorated means the cover does not step down at all: the same value applies in the last year of the term as in the first.
Which rows are which
In the published table, the two-coat builds are the non-prorated rows: Fortify Elite on Good (20 years) and Fair (15 years), Revive with Fortify on Aging (12 years), and Boost with Fortify on Low or Critical (10 years). They carry full coverage for the whole period.
Boost on its own is the opposite end: fully prorated, declining from year one, for 5 years on Low or Critical and 3 years as a bridge in the Replace band (0-20). The single applications sit in the middle, which is the next question.
- Non-prorated, full period: Boost + Fortify (Low), Boost + Fortify (Critical), Revive + Fortify (Aging), Fortify Elite (Good), Fortify Elite (Fair)
- Hybrid, full then prorated: Revive (Aging), Revive (Low), Revive (Critical), Fortify (Good), Fortify (Fair)
- Fully prorated: Boost (Low), Boost (Critical), Boost bridge (Replace)
Why the shape of the cover matters more than the term
A long term on prorated cover and a shorter term on non-prorated cover are not the same product, and comparing only the headline years hides that. The question worth asking is what the cover is worth in the year something goes wrong.
That is also why the warranty finder shows the coverage type on every card rather than a single number, and why the full table lists the coverage type as its own column.
The exact percentages
The terms give a percentage of the allowance for every claim year, not just a label. Those are the figures behind the coverage-over-time chart on the warranty page, and every row sharing a schedule carries the same percentages.
- Boost Low (5 yrs): 100% / 100% / 75% / 50% / 25%
- Revive Low (7 yrs): 100% / 100% / 100% / 80% / 60% / 40% / 20%
- Fortify Fair (12 yrs): 100% / 100% / 100% / 100% / 100% / 86% / 71% / 57% / 43% / 29% / 14% / 10%
- Fortify Good (15 yrs): 100% / 100% / 100% / 100% / 100% / 93% / 87% / 80% / 73% / 67% / 60% / 53% / 47% / 40% / 33%
- Fortify Elite Good (20 yrs): Non-prorated, 100% every year
Where to check your own row
The row that applies to your roof is the one matching your treatment and the band your roof scored at the assessment. Your written estimate names it, and the terms that come with the estimate carry the full wording.
Nothing here restates the terms beyond the summary in the published table; where the two ever differed, the written terms would govern.
